on June 1, 1972. Children are Jessie T. Hargrave, Samuel A. Hargrave
and Daniel
W. Hargrave
Buffie graduated from Wake Forest cum laude in 1973 with
a Bachelors degree in Psychology, Phi Beta Kappa. She obtained her Masters
of Education from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1973 also. She is a former teacher
in Orange County and Person County public schools and presently operates
a tutoring business, teaching children of all academic levels and specializing
in remedial reading and math.
Jessie
is currently managing a horse facility in Hollywood, South Carolina. She
is an A-rated member of the United States Pony Club. She graduated from
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002 with a B.A. in
Psychology with highest honors and she is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She
is currently training and competing three-day event horses and teaches
riding lessons.
Sam is currently living in North Hollywood, California where he is a stunt
man and operates his own business known as Reel
Kick Films. His most recent
roles are stunt double for the lead actor in “Roadhouse II” and
stuntman on “Pirates of the Caribbean III.” Sam graduated from
the UNC Chapel Hill in 2004 with a B. A. in Communication Studies with
highest distinction. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He is also a second-degree
black belt.
Daniel
is a junior at UNC
Wilmington where he is a scholarship athlete on the
baseball team and plays infield and outfield. He graduated from Orange
High School in 2004. His senior year at OHS, he was the Most Valuable Player
and Offensive Player of the Year with a .426 batting average and was also
the Five County 3A Conference Player of the Year. At UNCW, he has been
named Collegiate Conference Player of the Week on several occasions and
in March of 2006 was named National Offensive Player of the Week.
